About

I was born and raised on O'ahu, Hawai'i, surrounded by the sea. My perception of  self, community and the world was uniquely shaped by a cultural melting pot rich in folklore, where nature was revered as both the giver and taker of life.

I write about our deep and enduring connection to the natural world, the impress of society on our most fundamental beliefs, and history as a signpost to the present. I explore the social constructs that bind us, and the intersection of fate and free will. 

My award-winning writing has been published in The Writer Magazine, and produced in the "Nature Is Speaking" Film Series featuring Jason Momoa as the voice of The Wave. 

I live mostly in Los Angeles with my husband and rescued cats. My best life is near the sea, sipping a frothy cappuccino, and driving fast cars.
